A Magnolia Trio of Tildas for Spring!

Hello Dearest Readers,

Happy Easter to each of you! I hope the Easter Bunny will bring your treats galore and the joy of family!

Our children are almost home. They have a few more hours to go on their two day drive home. I miss them already. Our grand daughter is such a delight! She will be a buster, that's for sure! She is so joyful. She laughs all the time. After they had left to go home, I realized how empty our home seemed - so quiet. Of course, Cedar, the shy kitty came out from under the bed where she had hold up during the duration of their stay. Precious, the smarty cat, decided that she wasn't going to be intimidated and just lived her life as she always does, LOL.

I am very creative just before dozing off at night. This card idea came to me at that late hour, and I thought it would be cute! Today, I am sharing the card with you. I intermittently worked on it over the past week or so. I wanted it to be Spring like, but it may be a bit Eastery. I wanted to use some minis on little egg shapes. Diana has an Easter/Spring mini bundle of 12 stamps available HERE. Check these cuties out! Here is my newest creation:

I love the shade of blue Bazzill. It is just so soft. Diana had these minis and I thought they would be just right for the little eggs on which they've been stamped and colored. The text is computer generated. I had the sheer flowers from so many years ago. I have about four bags of them! Why not use them? I like that it added to the card, but because they are sheer, they don't add density to the card front. Here are additional shots:

I just wanted the card to be soft and sweet. I'll put it in my Etsy Shop. Maybe someone will like it, too!

Diana is currently taking preorders for the New Spring Fever Collection. There are some adorable images in this set. If you haven't seen them, please visit the Magnolia-licious Store. You can see and order them there.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I hope you will return again very soon!

XO,

Chris

Magnolia Tilda This Hug is for You!

Hello Dearest Readers,

Happy Tuesday to each of you! I hope this post finds each of you well and happy!

I am such a happy grammie! Our sweet little grand baby is here visiting - along with her mom and dad, of course! She has grown so much since I saw her last August. They live about a thousand miles from us, so visits are limited. It's a long story, and since I don't know what the future holds, we may be moving to be closer to our dear children.

Today is Tuesday and that means that it's time for a Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog challenge reveal! Today begins a new challenge on the blog. It is....**drumroll, please**...

Anything Goes with Pearls

We would love, love, love to see your beautiful creations featuring pearls as part of the design. Here is my inspiration card for you -

I chose to use one of the first Magnolia stamps I ever bought. These little angels are so cute! I love their simple design. I believe I cut the shape of the card from a Magnolia Vintage Die set. I had a terrible time with it because every time I ran it through the machine, it would change the shape of the cut! Therefore, none of the cuts were identical. Sooooo frustrating!!!! What would make that happen? I finally had to cut the shapes by hand.

I added a pearl border above the lace as well as pearl accents here and there. The inside has pearls as well. Here is another photo:

Please take a minute and stop by the Magnolia-licious Store. Diana has some excellent prices on our little Tilda stamps! There may be one, or some, that you've wanted to add to your collection. Check it out!

We would love to have you join the Anything Goes with Pearl Challenge. One lucky person will win a $20 gift certificate from Magnolia-licious. Your card is your ticket to the random draw! Give it a try! This is a really easy theme with which to work.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I hope you will return again very soon!

Chris

An Explosion Box of Easter Bunnies

Hello Blog Hoppers,

Welcome to the

Magnolia-licious

"Easter Blog Hop!"
.

During this blog hop, remember to keep your eyes peeled for those brown, floppy eared hidden rabbits! Each of the gals presenting today has at least one little floppy eared bunny hiding from you! You need to keep track of the total number of bunnies hidden to qualify for a random prize.

Are you ready to travel through cyberspace and check out the most adorable, creations brought to you via the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog's Design Team?

You should have reached my blog from Kelly's blog,

The Beauty of Paper

If you haven't been to Kelly's blog, please go back to the Challenge Blog (link above) and find the starting point - that's Cathy's blog.

For my project, I chose to make an Easter Themed Explosion Box. There are quite a few photos. I'm so sorry the photos are dark. They are lighter on my computer, and every time I post to a site such as Facebook, or my blog, they go dark! If you know how to fix this, please tell me! I hope you glean some inspiration from my creation. Now a tour through the gallery, LOL!

Time to go to your next stop. HOP over to the super talented...

NORMA

at From My Craft Room

to see what she has to share with you.

There are two ways to win a $20 gift certificate from Magnolia-licious.

• Count the hidden bunnies. We need the total count. Mail your total of bunnies found to Cathy at cathylee.co@gmail.com.

•Create and enter a project (not a card) following the Hop's Easter theme and leaving a comment on all of the DT posts and Challenge Blog to be eligible for the random prize.

You must also do the following in order to have a chance to win either of the random prizes Diana is offering.

1. Like us on our Magnolia-licious Facebook Fan Page

 2. Leave a comment on each DT’s posts as well as the Challenge Blog during the hop.

 3. At the end of your Hop return to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and leave a comment there as well for a chance to win a prize.

Say, "Cheese!" with Sweet Magnolia Tilda!

Hello Dearest Readers,

Happy "Hump Day!" Wednesday is a good day because the weekend is just around the corner! I hope this post finds you well. I'm so happy to see that you've stopped by! Thank you!

Today is "W"ednesday at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! Jane and I have cards to share. I hope you like them! Today, I have chosen to use two stamps from the Magnolia-lious Mini Stamp Collection, Doo Bee Pops Tilda from the Special Moments Collection. Diana doesn't have the mini in stock now, but she does have the standard sized image. I love this little Tilda as well as the flower cluster. The camera stamp was one I bought about 11 or 12 years ago when I started scrapbooking. I decided to finally use it! I thought it worked nicely with the Tilda scene. Here is the image of the card front:

I wanted to keep to the camera theme and decided to use the Magnolia Doohickey Insta Stripes die. I didn't like how the filmstrip originally looked, so I decided to back it with pale pink vellum. Now, that looked GREAT! Then, I got the brainstorm to use the filmstrip slots for the card sentiment. Out came the rub ons and you see the finished result. I love how it turned out!

Here is another view:

I used a combination of supplies to color the image - DIs, Derwent Watercolor Pencils, Derwent Inktense Pencils, Crayola Wateroclor Pencils, and Prismacolor Pencils. I wanted to find just the right shades of black/gray.

Sweet Diana has a generous $20 gift certificate to one lucky "W"-ednesday Challenge participant! We would love to have you share your gorgeous creations with us!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! I hope my card will give some inspiration.

XO,

Chris
